Regional Human Resources Manager

General Purpose:

 

The Regional HR Manager is the custodian of Human Resource Management and Organizational Development for Aruba Bank and Orco Bank, driving organizational capabilities, innovation of human resources and building a superior employee experience in support of the Banks strategy, core values and desired culture. The Regional HR Manager is responsible for the development, interpretation and consistent implementation of the HR strategy and its translation into policy and the HR instruments and processes derived from it.

Position Highlights:

  • Develop and monitor HR department goals, objectives and plans aligned to the Banks strategy and business goals.
  • Develop and maintain policy, standards, processes and procedures for Organizational Development, HR programs and projects tailored to the specific Bank needs.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department’s activities and provide leadership, coaching, performance management and continuous learning and development guidance to the department.
  • Ensure seamless HR Service Delivery.
  • Advice on critical matters regarding succession planning, organizational development, strategic workforce planning, culture and change management.
  • Responsible for the development and alignment of a robust and agile Bank organizational model, including governance & organizational structure, job structure & requirements and job design.
  • Co-facilitate change management from a people & organizational design perspective for Aruba Bank and Orco Bank.
  • Liaise on financial impact of HR strategies and policies.
  • Co-create and deploy people strategies for talent attraction and retention and enhanced employee experience.
  • Act as key liaison between the Banks on HR polices and people strategies and programs.
  • Act as Strategic Business partner on HR topics for Department Heads and Management.
  • Act as key liaison with labor union to maintain healthy and productive working relationships.
  • Provide insight and stay up to date on relevant HR industry trends and employment legislations to ensure organizations compliance.

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business or equivalent education.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in an HR management role.
  • Experience in a Financial institution is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with HRM practices and trends, organizational development, change management and HR administrative organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience with HR systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic thinker, able to advise on best practices and propose new, strategic solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch and Papiamento.  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong result-oriented focus.
  • High level of integrity, able to maintain confidential information.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Willing and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
