Junior Account Manager Retail- Orco Bank (BON)

General Purpose:

The Junior Account Manager Retail will be part of the customer service and sales team. In this position the responsibilities include the promotion and sales of all consumer products/related services to the clients of the Bank, this includes the level of personal customer service, the administration and other follow up activities to ensure the timely achievement of both short- and long-term targets based on the Bank’s strategic objectives.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide information and assistance to customers on bank products and services in a verbal and written form.
  • Provide financial advice (for loans and funding).
  • Supply information to the customer about documents needed to do certain transactions.
  • Responsible for the management and follow up of customers in an assigned portfolio.
  • Process and access new credit applications, presenting accurate, thoroughly researched proposals and recommendations for sound decision making.
  • Following up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met.
  • To perform timely follow up on missing or outdated documents/ information on the assigned portfolio, ensuring completion of all files, in compliance with the KYC policies and procedures of the Bank.
  • Ensure timely follow up on assigned tasks in all applications. (e.g. Launchpoint and Rulesware Risk).
  • Maintaining acceptable levels of risk to safeguard the quality of the assigned portfolio with daily monitoring.
  • Staying current on company offerings, economic developments and industry trends
  • Timely report unusual account/client behavior to the Compliance department by completing an internal reporting form, for further investigation.
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Handling complaints and negotiations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist clients with all banking needs (f.i. standing order requests, amendments, interest letters, reference letters).
  • Have full understanding of the Bank’s services and be aware of marketing and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Handle customer requests, such as block or cancellation of ATM cards and credit cards and direct clients as much as possible to make use of our self-service channels.  

Requirements:

  • HAVO degree, or MBO 4 (Administration) degree, or at least 2 years of banking experience
  • Proven experience in sales/ customer service role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, Dutch, Papiamentu and fair knowledge of Spanish
  • Computer literate, including proficiency working with Word and Excel
  • To demonstrate interest in ongoing self-development
