Human Resources Officer

General Purpose:

The Officer executes all tasks related to HR Operations and service desk of the department. This includes maintaining a reliable and timely day-to-day HR administration, benefits and payroll administration, HR systems management and HR compliance management. He/she is the first point of contact for all HR related inquiries and maintains strong communication within the team and across the business.

The Officer is resilient and able to adapt to the organizations needs and to provide a positive and professional employee experience.

Position Highlights

  • Ensures a timely and accurate administration of all payroll related changes.
  • Responsible for the HR database, ensuring the data is always up-to-date, accurate, in compliance with the policies and procedures and readily available for relevant purposes.
  • Plans and executes relevant TLC activities, keeping in mind the employee experience.
  • Keeps a solid administration of all pension, insurance and benefits offerings, ensures employees are properly informed about coverage, procedures and guidelines and resolves issues when necessary.
  • Replies to employee and manager inquiries in a professional and timely manner.  
  • Ensures that employees files are KYE compliant and that all paperwork/documents are valid and up to date.
  • Handles all SVB related contacts, correspondence and reporting and upholds the sick-leave administration.
  • Provide self-service portal users with functional support, assuring a seamless user experience.
  • Supports the advisory team with administration, drafting of letters and running of reports when required. 

Requirements

  • MBO or associate degree in administration or equivalent with min. 3 years’ experience or bachelor’s degree with no experience.
  • Experience with payroll, general knowledge and understanding of labor laws is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of HRM systems, Excel, and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and follow-through skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and good attention to details.
  • High level of integrity, able to maintain confidential information.
  • Approachable and confident in dealing with a variety of enquires.
  • Stress resilient, multi-tasker and able to work within deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Dutch and Papiamento.
