Human Resources Advisor

General Purpose:

The Advisor is responsible to advice, guide and support leaders of Aruba Bank and Orco Bank in making optimal decisions regarding HR management and organizational development matters that contribute to building distinctive organizational capabilities and a superior employee experience. 

 He/she acts as business partner to the banks, providing general advice, guidance and support to a group of assigned accounts as well as specialized advice, guidance and support to all accounts on specific HR expertise areas.

Position Highlights

  • Facilitate Management and employees in addressing HR and organizational development matters by providing frameworks, policies, instruments and tailored solutions.
  • Provide guidance, advice and support in the areas of organization of work, people flow, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Perform in-depth and timely analysis on workforce data, in close cooperation with HR Officers, in order to facilitate critical insights and well-founded decision-making.
  • Support employees in the role of confidant for confidential matters.
  • Address organizational change systematically and timely, identifying and overcoming the barriers to change within the banks.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to labor laws and regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures by employees in order to guard the integrity, ethical behavior and fairness towards individuals and the company.
  • Ensure a continuous superior employee experience by timely signaling and introducing improvement opportunities for the service quality of the HR Department. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business science or equivalent education.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in the application of a broad range of HR practices.
  • Knowledge of and experience with HRM practices and trends, organizational development, change management, HR administrative organization, HR systems and labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Papiamento is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong result-oriented focus.
  • Sound analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Able to impact and influence others.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Eager to learn and willing and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Position is located at Curacao, must be able to travel to the Islands.
