General Purpose:
The Auditor performs audit procedures with increasing independence, documents testing results, identifies exceptions, and contributes to the observation log. The role supports the effective execution of internal audit assignments in line with the Internal Audit Manual.
Position Highlights
- Executes audit program steps independently while applying professional skepticism throughout fieldwork.
- Performs control testing for both design and operating effectiveness, applying the sampling methodology in the Internal Audit Manual.
- Identifies exceptions during testing and assesses whether deviations indicate a design gap, operating failure, or isolated exception.
- Prepares workpapers that meet the documentation standards in the Internal Audit Manual, including criteria, condition, test approach, results, and conclusion.
- Leads interactive sessions with process owners to identify and validate key controls for the RACM.
- Prepares assigned sections of the audit program in AMS TeamMate+ based on the approved RACM.
- Assists in preparing the Audit Planning Memorandum, including background research and key statistics.
- Maintains professional, objective, and constructive communication throughout audit assignments.
Requirements
Minimum Higher Vocational Education (HBO) degree and/or academic level of thinking, preferably in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
3–5 years of audit or relevant professional experience, preferably within financial services.
Good understanding of internal controls, audit methodology, and workpaper documentation standards.
Experience with audit management systems such as TeamMate+ is considered an asset.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Professional skepticism and sound judgment.
Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
Effective communication with process owners and audit stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while escalating matters appropriately.
Flexible and willing to travel
