Account Manager - Corporate Department (Aruba Bank)

General Purpose:

The Account Manager is integral to our Corporate Banking team, and is responsible for acquiring new business clients and managing a significant credit portfolio. This commercially driven role requires acting as a trusted financial advisor to our corporate clients.

Position Highlights:

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify and seize sales opportunities, cross-sell banking products, and attract new funding through savings and interest-bearing solutions. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure superior service delivery, assisting with day-to-day banking transactions.
  • Client Interaction: Regularly engage with clients and prospects, conduct site visits to assess their commercial and financial status, and stay informed on market developments.
  • Credit Management: Prepare credit proposals for Credit Committee approval, ensure the proper execution of loan documentation, and maintain compliance with conditions precedent. Regularly review the loan portfolio to uphold its quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Act as the first line of defense against money laundering and terrorist financing. Keep client-related documents up to date as part of Know Your Client (KYC) processes.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about social, macro-economic, and legislative changes, assessing their impact on the bank and its clients.
  • Networking: Visit clients regularly, attend business and social events representing Aruba Bank, to enhance client relationships and market presence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance/HBO-HEAO.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with banking experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Papiamento, English, Spanish, and Dutch.
  • High degree of critical thinking and a solution-driven mindset, capable of thriving in a demanding environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Flexibility and a strong service orientation.
