Account Executive - Retail Department Orco Bank Bonaire

General Purpose:

The Account Executive is part of the Customer service and sales team. In this position the responsibilities include the promotion and sales of all consumer products and related services to the Bank's preferred clients. This role also includes delivering a high level of personal customer service, handling administrative tasks and performing follow up activities to ensure the timely achievement of both short- and long-term targets in line with the Bank's strategic objectives. 

Position Highlights:

  • Provide information and assistance to preferred clients regarding the Bank's products and services, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Deliver a high standard of service to preferred clients by offering tailored products, advice and support, that meet their individual needs. 
  • Provide financial advice on loans and funding solutions. 
  • Responsible for the management and follow-up of clients within an assigned portfolio. 
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through outreach of prospective clients and cold calling, targeting the lending and funding portfolios. 
  • Process and assess new credit applications, presenting accurate, thoroughly researched proposals and recommendations for sound decision making. 
  • Conduct regular follow ups with prospective clients throughout the sales cycle to ensure their needs are understood and addressed. 
  • Maintain acceptable risk levels to safeguard the quality of the assigned portfolio through daily monitoring. 
  • Ensure that all files are complete and in compliance with the Bank's KYC policies and procedures. 
  • Compile and analyze data to identify trends that are useful to guide marketing initiatives. 
  • Develop sales strategies and set quotas. 
  • Stay current on company offerings, economic developments and industry trends. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or at least 5 years of Banking experience in the area of Account Management. 
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role. 
  • Able to read and understand financials. 
  • Knowledge of corporate lending.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles. 
  • Comprehensive and current knowledge of company offerings and industry trends. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Dutch. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to build relationships. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing self-development and continuous learning.
