General Purpose

The Account Executive Commercial Banking contributes to the management, growth and service of the Commercial Banking portfolio by delivering tailored banking solutions to business clients. The Account Executive works within a team-based portfolio management model and is responsible for supporting client acquisition, retention, credit origination, portfolio monitoring and customer service while balancing commercial opportunities with sound risk management.

The role requires close collaboration with Corporate Banking to ensure seamless client transitions as banking needs and portfolio complexity evolve.

Position Highlights

  • Contribute to the management and growth of the Commercial Banking portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients.
  • Identify opportunities for lending, deposits, transactional banking and other bank products.
  • Prepare and manage small business credit applications.
  • Monitor client performance and identify potential risks or opportunities.
  • Conduct periodic KYC and AML/CFT reviews.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and timely resolution of client requests.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective coverage of the portfolio.
  • Support acquisition of new business relationships.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Banking on client referrals and portfolio migration.
  • Contribute to achieving portfolio growth, profitability and risk objectives.
  • Support process improvements and digital adoption initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field, or an Associates Degree with significant banking experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Banking, Business Banking, Corporate Banking, customer relationship management or a comparable financial services role.
  • Strong understanding of business banking products and services, including deposits, payments, lending and cash management solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis and basic credit assessment principles and the ability to interpret key financial  indicators for business clients.
  • Ability to identify client needs and develop appropriate banking solutions.
  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC and regulatory requirements applicable to commercial banking clients.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth and cross-selling opportunities.
